Got kit you no longer use? Bring it to Karleyth Diving and trade it in for store credit towards brand-new equipment.

Whether you’re upgrading your setup, switching styles, or just want gear that fits better, our trade-in scheme makes it easier (and more affordable) to dive with kit you trust.

How the Trade-In Works

  1. Bring your gear in to the dive centre (or message us to arrange a drop-off).

  2. We assess it based on condition, age, and whether it can be safely refurbished.

  3. You get a trade-in value as store credit.

  4. Use your credit against new equipment in-store.

We’ll always be straight with you about what something’s worth and why

What You Can Trade In

We’re most interested in well-looked-after core kit, including:

  • Regulators (sets and octos)

  • BCDs / wings

  • Dive computers

  • Masks, fins, boots

  • Exposure protection (wetsuits, drysuits etc.(case-by-case))

  • Bundle trade-ins (full kit setups)

  • Scuba Tanks (any size)

If you’re unsure, bring it in anyway — we’ll take a look.

What You Can Use Credit On

Trade-in credit can be used on new equipment from the brands we stock, including:

  • Mares

  • Miflex

  • Waterproof

  • Tusa

  • Hollis

  • DiveRite

  • Bare

  • Oceanic

We’ll also help you choose the right kit for the type of diving you’re doing — from first-time Open Water setups to more technical configurations.

What Happens to Your Old Gear?

Depending on the item, we’ll:

  • Refurbish and resell it as budget second-hand kit (great for new divers)

  • Salvage usable parts where appropriate

  • Dispose of it responsibly if it’s not safe or viable to reuse

Keeping divers safe is non-negotiable — if something can’t be made safe, we won’t put it back into circulation.

Trade-In Terms (The Sensible Bits)

  • Trade-in value is offered as store credit only

  • Credit is valid for 6 months from the date of assessment

  • Credit can be used on new equipment purchases (not servicing, air fills, training, or guided dives)

  • We may decline items that are unsafe, incomplete, heavily corroded, or beyond economical repair

  • Final trade-in value is confirmed after in-person inspection
